See How Your Baby is Growing
Preparing for Childbirth
Preparing for the birth of your baby is an exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience. Through education you can develop an understanding of what you can expect to occur during the birthing process.
Breastfeeding and Lactation
Breastfeeding is the best way to feed your baby. It not only creates a bond between you and your baby, but it also provides the best nutrition for your infant. Breastfeeding also protects your baby against many illnesses. Lactation consultants and classes are available to all of our patients.
Depression & Pregnancy
The birth of a child is a major life-changing event for any family. New parents express feelings of joy and excitement. But for some parents, especially new mothers, this may also be a time of uncertainty, frustration and anxiety.
Many new mothers experience “baby blues” in the first few days following delivery. Crying for no apparent reason, irritability or anxiety. These are normal postpartum emotions and usually disappear within a few weeks following delivery.
If you experience these symptoms constantly or intensely enough to interfere with your daily activities within a year of giving birth, you may have postpartum depression.
